Rotary Koti Nati is a very ambitious reforestation project to say the very least. Our plan is to plant 1 Crore saplings in various districts across Karnataka. This will be achieved by a process called seed bombing, wherein seed-balls are dispersed in chosen locations using a helicopter. That’s just the beginning, as then we start the arduous process of caring for these seeds. Once the seeds germinate, it becomes all the more important to nurture them and ensure that these grow and become tall trees in the future. Through the project we intend to take care of the seeds for a period of 3 years.

The sheer scale of the project required it to be launched in a grand fashion. We were lucky enough to partner with the Isha Foundation for launching the project in the presence of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and an audience that numbered in the thousands. I spoke at the event about how projects like Rotary Koti Nati will be able to create an impact and how everyone can be a part of it. Sadhguru also emphasised on the fact that we don’t have to die to go to heaven, we are already living in heaven. We just need to work more to make it better.
