Bikkatty Higher Secondary School
We just donated Rs. 10 Lakhs to redevelop the Bikkatty Higher Secondary School in Udhagamandalam District, for the betterment of Kothas, an ancient tribe residing in the area. The donation was given by my Co-Director BSN Hari from our company Hara Housing through Rotary Bangalore Orchards. This will be a joint project between M/s Chamraj Tea Estate, M/s United Nilgiri Conservation Society, and Rotary Bangalore Orchards of Rotary District 3190.
The activity is part of our RBO Happy Schools Project, through which we intend to adopt more than 125 schools in rural areas. We will fully renovate such schools with new toilets, library, playing area, furniture, gardens and more to create a warm and welcoming environment for schoolchildren. An inspiring learning environment can go a long way in nurturing the intent for learning in children.
